Edward and Alphonse Elric had a disastrous failed attempt to bring their mother back to life using a human transmutation alchemy. These alchemist brothers finally ended their journey searching for the legendary catalyst called the Philosopher’s Stone, a powerful object which would allow them to recover their bodies.
